Friday, September 7th, 2007i cannot begin to describe how exciting this thang is for me.
i am still learnin a lot about technical website shizzle-jargon but here at the kitchen sync revival, we are workin it round da clock with humility and grace. i want to thank adam byrne for his help in the creation of this project and for his continued inspiraton and support since we first met in kyoto, japan in the late 90’s.
so far what we got posted is a sampling of videos that we’ve done.
“Waitin 4 Smitty” premiered in los angeles in november of 2005. it was also screened on the east coast, in boston and new york city. this offbeat and refreshing improvised comedy was the collaboration of a deeply connected crew. a special thanks goes out to sean welch, producer of the oscar nominated documentary “spellbound” and the critically acclaimed feature “rocket science” (which ya’ll should go see if you haven’t yet and even if you have, why not go see it again!). mr. welch’s encouragement and compassion were utterly essential in the process of making this short.
“Finding your Freak” was inspired by the individuals and community of the amazing west coast underground counter culture. in particular the unrivaled music of lorin ashton aka bassnectar and the stunning environments created by the international production powerhouse the do lab. this was truly a labor of love and many talented artists were involved in the creation of this video.
“A Taste of the Sync” is a modicum of the “kitchen sync spots” which have been surfacing virally, viciously and voraciously for over a year.
“Home of the Miraculous” is a documentary that was shot in peru in the summer of 2007 and details a mystical journey through a magical place. there is a native american prophecy in both north and south american cultures which speaks of a time when the eagle of the north and the condor of the south will once again fly together in union and harmony. i believe the time is now.
“IT’S ON!” there are some instances in which words cannot bear the duty of description. this is a quintessential example.
thank you for taking the time to visit our site.
we’ll keep on cooking, and you can always come back for more.

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007what i do
Wednesday, September 5th, 2007it’s 3:51 in the am and i’m still cuttin . . .
for those not familiar with the nomenclature, “cuttin” in this sense means editing video.
it’s early in the morning. it’s dark and i’m subterranean. i got nothing on and i’m performing non-linear digital editing on my desktop apple computer whom i also refer to as “my baby”.
this is what i do and i LOVE doing it
